Paperwork, Land Levels and Waiting...

With all fingers and toes crossed I'll be bold and say that construction of our home will start some time in February of 2010, which is a full six months from the time of signing contracts and only two or three months after construction was supposed to begin.

Ok, so why the delays and what's happened in the months between deciding to sign and now? Here is a brief outline of the saga this far.

Late September:
After months of homework which included window shopping, calculations, comparing, learning, reading ,listening to anything home related the decission to build instead of buying an existing home. The strongest factors that influenced this decission were the ridiculous prices being paid by first home buyers and the lack of an existing dwelling that ticked all our boxes.
Moving along, we decided to build at Waterside, located near the Penrith Lakes Precint. We chose to build with Complete New Homes.

I'll write more when I'm not so tired.
